Essential Information Costa Blanca
The Costa Blanca has been a well-known tourist destination for foreigners for many years now. It boasts some on the best weather in the Mediterranean, some wonderful mountainous backdrops and beaches to die for.
The coast offers very exciting landscape including wonderfully lush, green inland areas that are scattered with orange groves.
There are quiet villages to enjoy such as Orba, Teulada, Pego and Benissa, not forgetting the spectacular scenery of the Jalon valley.
Closer to the coast you will find beautiful Moraira, Javea and Denia all offering more lively atmospheres with a fabulous selection of beaches, bars and restaurants. The famous town of Benidorm is a fabulously fun place for families, retired people and holidaymakers. The nightlife is exciting for young people.
The larger towns such as Alicante, Murcia and Valencia offer great city atmospheres with designer shops, cafes, beautiful historic Spanish streets they are fantastic places to spend a warm springs day.
The Costa Blanca was voted one of the healthiest places to live in the world by the World Health Organisation. The Costa Blanca has many fantastic quality and well-established golf courses. The warm all year round weather allows golfers to enjoy the golf courses even at Christmas time!
The most famous Golf Club is La Manga Golf and Country Club, located close to the Mar Menor, Murcia, south of Alicante.
There are three courses at La Manga and they are some of the best courses in Europe. It has been the host of many Spanish Opens and other National Golfing events.
La Manga Resort also offers a Spa and Wellness centre, luxury hotel, tennis, paddle tennis, squash, gym, professional Football centre and equestrian facilities. This is one of the best all round resorts in Europe.

There are many long and beautiful beaches on the Costa Blanca and Murcia region. Most have been awarded the European Blue Flag for cleanliness. Each one offers different amenities and facilities. Some are more secluded than others but all are worth a visit. You will find that many of them have chiringuitos (beach bars) offering fresh fish dishes and tapas. Many have long promenades, perfect for evening strolls.

The Costa Blanca is famous for its wonderful all year round warm temperatures. The humidity is low in the summer season and the warm winters is a magnet for northern Europeans.

Spring: The climate is generally very good, but expect occasional rain.
Summer: The climate is very hot but not humid, a wonderful time to enjoy the Spanish beaches and also the fantastic warm evenings.
Autumn/Fall: Is perhaps the best season of the year to visit the entire country. The climate is excellent, with sunny days and blue skies.
Winter: Is a good time to visit the Mediterranean area along the Costa Blanca. The days are warm and sunny; you may feel a little cooler in the evenings during December, January and February.
