Bansko is located at the foot of the beautiful Pirin Mountains. It is a well-established ski resort but with many more international flights into Sofia airport, Bulgaria entering into the EU in 2007 and improved infrastructure Bansko is becoming one of the most popular ski resorts in Europe.
The world heritage site of the Pirin Mountains offer all year round activities for everyone including golf, hiking, cycling and horse riding.
The town of Bansko has lots to offer for everyone, there are a lot of new hotels and infrastructure popping up everywhere and the town has a really traditional Bulgarian atmosphere. The town centre is also a listed World Heritage Site.

The Pirin Golf Course is a brand new golf course in Bansko. There are 36 holes in total, Ian Woosnam has designed 18 of these.
There is also a country club offering a golf academy, ski school, spa and Wellness centre, swimming pools, equestrian and riding centre, bars and restaurants.

The climate in Bansko is perfect for golfers in the spring and summer time when temperatures are warm with lots of sunny days.
Bansko ski resort offers 70Km of beautiful ski runs. The resort is located at the foothills of the stunning Pirin Mountains, which is protected and on the World Heritage list.
There are ski runs for all levels of skiers from beginners to experts and lots of après ski facilities such as bars and restaurants.
The town of Bansko just 12 kilometres away from the slopes offers a fantastic Bulgarian atmosphere with both a contemporary and traditional feel. Perfect for the evening when you have had a good day skiing.
The highest point at the resort is 2560m and the lowest is 1000m above sea level. There are ski runs as long as 16km to enjoy.
The slopes open from December to May offering a long season to enjoy.
There are ski schools available for skiers and snow boarders for all ages. The ski fee and ski rental of equipment is very well priced too compared to other European ski resorts, making this up and coming resort more and more popular each year.

Autumn/Fall: A lovely time to visit Bansko as it is generally cooler with fresh mornings, sunny days and blue skies.
Winter: This is the time for skiing!! The slopes open in December and the snow is falling, temperatures reach below zero and the ski resort and snowy streets in town are magical.
