Almeria is well known for its desert landscape. Film production companies have found Almeria a perfect place to re create Western film sets in the past. Lawrence of Arabia, A Fist Full of Dollars along with hundreds of spaghetti westerns was filmed here. You can still visit the film sets in Almeria.

 

 

Just 1 hour away from Almeria you can ski at the famous Sierra Nevada Resort and enjoy over 60km of ski routes and some fabulous après ski atmosphere. There are not many places in the world where you can be on a sandy beach in the morning and ski in the afternoon!

ALMERIA WEATHER

 

The Almeria region is very lucky, it boasts 320 days of sunshine. Almeria is famous for its agriculture due to its wonderful weather and over the last few years more and more people are discovering the wonderful weather that Almeria offers and are choosing to invest here.

 

Here is a summary of the year round weather in Almeria:

 

Spring: The climate is generally very good, but expect occasional rain.

 

Summer: The climate is very hot, especially during the month of August. Summer is a wonderful time to enjoy the Spanish beaches, beach bars and also the fantastic warm evenings.

 

Autumn/Fall: Is perhaps the best season of the year to visit. The climate is excellent, warm with sunny days and blue skies.

 

Winter: Is a good time to visit Almeria. Enjoy crisp blue skies but slightly cooler evenings. Sierra Nevada ski resort is only an hour away from Almeria, it is one of the best ski Resorts in Spain. It opens in December and offers over 60km of ski routes.
